Every student gets their own personal portal — view attendance, submit assignments, take tests, check marks, apply for leave, and access placement opportunities. All features are accessible from any device.

System Architecture

The Student Panel is a unified, role-based portal that aggregates data from every academic module — giving students a real-time, self-service view of their entire academic life.

Security Note: Every student sees only their own data. Class-level aggregate data (e.g., classmates' attendance) is shown only where the HOD permits it. No student can access another student's records.

1. Student Dashboard

Students see a personalized overview upon login — today's schedule, upcoming assignment deadlines, pending tests, attendance percentage, and recent notices. Key alerts (low attendance, new assignments) are highlighted prominently.

2. Attendance Tracking

Subject-wise attendance breakdown with visual indicators, monthly calendar view, and personal timetable.

  • My Attendance: Subject-wise attendance percentage for each subject
  • Visual Indicators: Color-coded bars — green (above 75%), amber (60–75%), red (below 60%)
  • Monthly View: Calendar-style attendance view showing present/absent status for each day
  • Timetable: Personal timetable showing today's lectures and upcoming schedule
  • Adjustment Requests: Request corrections for wrongly-marked attendance

Benefit: Students can self-monitor their attendance in real-time instead of waiting for the office to announce defaulter lists. This proactive awareness reduces defaulters by 30–40%.

3. Assignment Submission

  • View Assignments: All active assignments with clear deadlines
  • Upload Submissions: Submit PDF, documents, or code files through a secure portal
  • Status Tracking: Pending → Graded → Returned for re-submission
  • View Feedback: Read teacher evaluation comments and marks
  • Late Submission Indicator: System flags submissions uploaded after the deadline

4. Online Tests & Quizzes

  • Available Tests: List of all assigned tests with date, time window, and duration
  • Take Test: Secure, timed examination interface with auto-save and auto-submit
  • Question Types: Multiple choice (MCQ), True/False, short answer
  • Auto-Timer: Server-synced countdown — prevents manipulation by changing device time
  • View Results: Instant score after test completion, detailed question-wise performance

5. Marks & Results

  • Semester Marks: View marks per subject broken down by component (Internal, External, Practical)

6. Leave Application

A 3-tier digital leave system — Student applies → Class Teacher reviews → HOD gives final approval.

  • Apply for Leave: Select dates, leave type, reason, and attach supporting documents
  • Track Status: Real-time status — Pending → Teacher Approved → HOD Approved
  • Leave History: Complete record of all past leaves with approval/rejection details
  • Re-submit: If sent back for modification, students can edit and resubmit

7. Feedback Submission

  • Pending Feedback: View all feedback forms assigned by the department
  • Submit Feedback: Rate teachers and courses through structured, anonymous forms

8. Messaging & Notices

  • Inbox: Receive messages from teachers and HOD with file attachments
